The Bike Barn fully endorses the credo, "Support your local shop". We do not sell bikes over the net.
This site is to showcase our shop and provide race, technical, and interesting information for you. If you have shopped locally and cannot find a part we may be able to help you out.
We do carry Bike Barn branded clothing and accessories.

Our History
It all started with a love for riding…
Jack Prowse met Jennie at a bike race in England. Years later, their two sons, John and Chris began racing road bikes and loving it. There was a shortage of high-end bikes in Penticton, so Jack and Jennie opened Prowse Cycle. The year was 1973.
In 1981 the shop moved to its present location and has turned into the amazingly well stocked and staffed store known world wide as the Bike Barn
The shop is still family owned by Jack and Jennie, Chris and his wife Lisa. John has moved on and is pursuing his acting career in Vancouver, but still turns a wrench at John Henry's in North Van.
Mountain biking saved the shop when the motorcycle end of the business was floundering. As well as being a full range mountain bike shop, recreational to cross country to full on downhill, the shop has roots on the road. The Barn is one of BC's premier shops for roadies and triathletes alike. Check out what our website has to offer or come visit the real thing yourself.
